The deal is a minor league contract with the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Laval Rocket. Lacouvee played 14 games with the Rocket last season, posting a 2.49 goals against average and a.914 save percentage.

Charles Hudon turns down qualifying offer from Canadiens: report Chantal Machabée of RDS reported on Twitter Tuesday that Hudon, who can become a restricted free agent on July 1, refused the contract offer made by Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin. Hudon, 24, earned US$650,000 this past season in the final year of a two-year contract worth US$1.3 million.
