6/18/19: Open Game Thread I failed to post last week's FanPulse results, because I am terrible, but the national question was somewhat relevant with Rob Manfred's recent visit to Seattle to knight John Stanton or whatever he was here to do.
Seattle Mariners: Sooner or Later? Against lefties, there are two ways the Mariners could have gone, having Bishop starting left, Haniger in center and Santana in right or Santana in left, Bishop in center, and Haniger in right. The first option Bishop would move to center field later in the game with Smith taking over in left and Haniger to right.

ALN: The Mariners open the floodgates… again I can look at the numbers a dozen times over, comprehend their meaning, and still refuse their conclusion - there's no way the Mariners have merely allowed runs to score in the first inning in barely 1/3rd of their games.
Morosi: Mariners in 'very delicate situation' ahead of trade deadline After the Mariners' trade of Edwin Encarnación brought back a Single-A pitching prospect, MLB insider Jon Morosi explained to Brock and Salk why Seattle is now in a "delicate situation" going into the July 31 trade deadline.
Seattle Mariners: Mitch Haniger's Top 5 Potential Trade Destinations Haniger makes a ton of sense for them—and, to a lesser extent, so does Domingo Santana—and their farm is deep enough to make a compelling offer that wouldn’t be entirely back-breaking to their system.
Cal Raleigh is making some improvements behind the plate Whatever it is, it's working. Raleigh has always drawn praise for his ability to block the ball, which makes sense, because large human = large backboard. As a certified Big Boy, however-6'3"/225-he has invited questions about his agility behind the plate.
Mariners can't complete comeback, bullpen disappoints again In what continues to be a nightmarish pitching year for the Mariners, Seattle dropped their first game to the Royals since April 9 of last year. Mariners out-Mariner Royals, lose A lifelong Cubs fan, my grandpa would ask me about the Mariners, and I would ask him about the Cubs. He would ask me what book I'd been reading, and I'd tell him. He'd ask me the author and, knowing full well who the author was, I'd say: "I don't know".
Mariners fall to Kansas City 6-4 after Royals rally in 8th Seattle took a 4-2 lead in the fifth on a three-run homer from Tom Murphy, but Kansas City was able to add a key run in the seventh inning. Another failed attempt by Mariners' 'opener' results in 6-4 defeat against Royals A Mariners' reliever allowed two runs in the first inning to put the team in an immediate hole.
